SUEZ Water Spain has implemented a strategy to promote biodiversity conservation in facilities operated by the group. As a first step, the company published the Guía operativa de Conservación de la Biodiversidad en el ciclo integral del agua(Operating Handbook for Biodiversity Conservation in the Integrated Water Cycle) to help to incorporate actions that promote species and habitats of interest, and contribute to the ecological restoration and naturalization of facilities. MINUARTIA supported the development of the handbook, which, in addition to describing the conceptual framework of biodiversity and green infrastructure, includes descriptive files on actions to naturalize facilities and the application of nature-based solutions. In addition, the document describes how to carry out biodiversity audits and draw up plans of action.
