Drafting of the Hunting Management Plan (HMP) for the Boumort National Game Reserve, with a ten-year time horizon and the aim of ensuring adaptive, sustainable, and ecosystem-based management of hunting and biodiversity within this area. The project is framed within the new management model for National Game Reserves in Catalonia, as defined by the Master Plan for National Game Reserves, and is structured around four main pillars: Conservation, Valorisation, Innovation, and Governance. The HMP positions Boumort as a benchmark site in the public management of hunting resources, integrating criteria of sustainability, rural development, innovation, and coherence with the Natura 2000 network and other land-use planning frameworks present in the territory. The development of the Plan is based on the diagnosis carried out in 2022, with issues identified and objectives defined using the logical framework methodology. It also incorporates a participatory process to ensure the involvement of key territorial stakeholders. The document establishes the objectives, criteria, and actions that should guide the management of hunting uses, the conservation of ecosystems, and the minimisation of conflicts with productive activities, as well as the valorisation of natural heritage as a driver of local development.
