The new book on the Great Mammals of Catalonia and Andorra has been presented, which represents an update of the original book published in 1995. This nee editions, provides an expanded and updated version that describes the species of large mammals and their current and past situation, including the groups of lagomorphs, carnivores, ungulates, cetaceans, and some large rodents.
The publication, coordinated by Jordi Ruiz-Olmo and David Camps, is a collective and exhaustive work, in which a hundred specialists have participated, and which covers in detail all current species and those extinct in the last centuries, with extensive data, maps, graphics, illustrations, and photographs.
Several members of MINUARTIA have participated in the writing of the chapter on the wild boar, which includes a general description and taxonomy, distribution and demographic trend, population estimation, as well as very extensive information on biology, behavior, etc.
