New Contract for Wildlife Hazard Management at 18 airports of the AENA network

MINUARTIA has been awarded the contract to provide technical wildlife coordination services at 18 airports in the Aena network for the 2025–2028 period. The technical assistance will be carried out at the airports of Alicante, Almería, Bilbao, Ibiza, FGL Granada-Jaén, Girona, Huesca, Murcia, Málaga, Melilla, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca, Reus, Sabadell, San Sebastián, Son Bonet, Valencia and Vitoria.

In these airports, technical support are being provided for the recording and analysis of wildlife incidents, the study of wildlife and their habitats, the monitoring of preventive measures and the evaluation of their effectiveness, as well as the development of wildlife risk management programmes.

These actions help prevent the risk of birdstrike, to ensure air navigation safety, and contribute to reducing wildlife mortality, thereby supporting biodiversity conservation.

This project is part of MINUARTIA’s line of services in airport wildlife management. The company also provides services at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and several airports in the Aeroports de Catalunya network. MINUARTIA has also carried out work internationally and is a member of the World Birdstrike Association and the Caribbean and South American Regional Committee for Wildlife and Bird Strike Hazard (CARSAMPAF).
