Postdoctoral Researcher. PhD in Agricultural Sciences and Biological Engineering

Postdoctoral Researcher. PhD in Agricultural Sciences and Biological Engineering from Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, University of Liège, Belgium. His expertise lies in spatial ecology, biologging, and wildlife tracking technologies applied to disease ecology. He focuses on ungulate species, particularly wild boar, investigating how movement patterns and social interactions shape their response to environmental and anthropogenic factors, especially in relation to the spread of infectious diseases such as African swine fever (ASF).

He is also exploring alternative tracking technologies to traditional collars to enhance animal welfare and improve wildlife monitoring. He has extensive experience working in diverse ecosystems across Europe and collaborates with international teams to develop applied solutions for wildlife conservation and disease management. He is actively involved in the Euromammals initiative (www.euromammals.org), a European-wide collaborative platform for animal ecology and management, where he serves as a data curator for the wild boar data (Euroboar)

At Minuartia, he will contribute to the WildASF-VAX project, focusing on optimizing vaccination strategies against ASF in wild boar populations.
