Development of proposals to improve the permeability of transport infrastructures between the Protected Natural Areas (PNAs) of Garraf and the Llobregat Delta within the municipality of Gavà. The main objectives are to analyze ecological connectivity between both natural areas and propose actions to facilitate wildlife movements, reducing the barrier effect of infrastructures and restoring habitats linked to watercourses that act as ecological corridors. An integrated approach is applied, including analysis of the current state of ecological connectivity in the area, a detailed inventory of existing transport routes affecting connectivity, and the development of specific proposals for modifying drainage systems and other transversal structures so they can function as wildlife crossings. All actions are aligned with objectives established in various EU and national documents on habitat defragmentation, as well as with current urban planning in the study area. Implementing these measures contributes to increasing the resilience of these infrastructures, adapting them to the current climate change scenario, and strengthening the municipality’s green infrastructure.
