Agronomical Engineer (University of Santiago de Compostela) and Máster in management of protected areas and countryside (University of London). He resided in the UK between 2008 and 2021 where we developed a career in biodiversity conservation at an international level. He currently is an independent biodiversity consultant. Over the past 10 years he has published as an author or editor over 40 books, scientific articles, and technical reports of international relevance on protected areas, biodiversity indicators, ecological connectivity, and environmental impact assessment, among others.
He combines his work as a consultant with his role as the national focal point for Spain of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), and as a member of the national coordination group for Key Biodiversity Areas, among other roles.
He collaborates with Minuartia as technical editor un publications related to management of impact on biodiversity from infrastructure development.
