Carme Rosell, director of Minuartia, receives the ‘Bioemprenedors’ award from the College of Biologists

On April 25, ‘Day of the Biologist’, the College of Biologists of Catalonia celebrated and paid tribute to professionals in the field of biology. Awards were given to recognize careers of great professional value that contribute to increasing the prestige of biologists’ work in different fields.

This year’s edition was inaugurated by Ramon Jordana, dean of the CBC, with the participation of Arcadi Navarro, Secretary of Universities and Research of the Government of Catalonia. Carme Rosell from MINUARTIA, together with Rosa Nudillos from SM Genomics, received the award in the category ‘BioEmprenedor’ in recognition of professionals or groups led by biologists who have implemented a successful business project. Juana María Díez and Carles Lalueza also received awards as honorary members, Antoni Alarcón and Dagoberto Schmid for their professional career, and Jordina Belmonte and Cecilia Jiménez in the research and innovation category.

The event is a meeting point for biologists working in different sectors and aims to increase the visibility of their careers and professional contributions. The MINUARTIA team would like to congratulate all the winners and thank the College of Biologists for the initiative.
