The original soils are highly salinized, and the restoration of the area requires planning techniques and strategies to promote washing of soluble soil salts and allow revegetation.<br \/>\nThe main washing strategy is to design morphologies that accelerate soil washing of salts during natural rainfall. This action is complemented by planting local halophilic species. The morphology combines slopes and berms that favour the superficial washing of salts and their elimination through the drainage system that is created. Subsequently, cartography and analysis of soils are carried out as a phase prior to any revegetation. Based on these results, the planting and sowing programme is established in areas where there is potential for success.
