She holds a degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona. She has been a professor at the same university, teaching the subject Restoration of Slopes and Quarries for the master’s degree in Ecology, Management and Restoration of the Natural Environment since 2010. Expert in restoration after extractive activities, she began her professional career in 1989. She has participated in and led numerous national and international projects and worked directly with extractive companies. She obtained the Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) certificate from the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER), which is part of a small European group of experts. She is also a member of the Institute for Research on Biodiversity (IRBIO) of the University of Barcelona. She is editor and co-author of the Manual for the restoration of limestone quarries in the Mediterranean climate and co-author of several technical and scientific articles in specialized journals on the subject. In Minuartia she oversees restoration projects associated with extractive activities.
