Miguel McMinnDegree in Biology

    Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of the Balearic Islands. He has worked on the island evolution team’s projects at IMEDEA CSIC-UIB and has participated in the LIFE project on the Balearic Shearwater (SEO-Balearic Government). Over the past 20 years, he has worked on several projects to monitor and conserve threatened flora and fauna of the Balearic Islands, including the Cabrera National Park, most of which are related to seabirds. He was also in charge of coordinating the black rat eradication project in the Natural Park of Sa Dragonera. Since 2006, he has been collaborating with the University of Oxford in the study of the trophic ecology and migration of the Balearic Shearwater. He has participated in several dissemination and tourism projects on ornithology. He is part of the research group of Biogeomed (Biogeography and Geography of the Mediterranean) of the UIB. He is part of the Minuartia team, working on wildlife risk management.
