Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Salamanca and master’s degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Valencia. He has mainly developed his professional career in Latin America, where he has coordinated and implemented research, conservation and sustainable development projects in Costa Rica and Ecuador. In these countries, he has collaborated with governmental entities, universities, NGOs and community organizations, coordinating multidisciplinary teams focused on aligning environmental and social benefits. He has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at international conferences. In the area of infrastructures, he has participated in restoration projects for extractive activities and in wildlife-vehicle collision monitoring programmes.
