Diego Juffe BignoliAgronomical Engineer

    Agronomical Engineer (University of Santiago de Compostela) and Máster in management of protected areas and countryside (University of London). He resided in the UK between 2008 and 2021 where we developed a career in biodiversity conservation at an international level. He currently is an independent biodiversity consultant. Over the past 10 years Diego has published as an author or editor over 40 books, scientific articles, and technical reports of international relevance on protected areas, biodiversity indicators, ecological connectivity, and environmental impact assessment, among others. In addition to being a consultant, he is the co-Chair of the Key Biodiversity Areas Standards and Appeals Committee, a global standard to identify the most important places in the world for biodiversity conservation. Since, 2012 he has been a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature´s World Commission on Protected Areas (IUCN WCPA). He collaborates with Minuartia as technical editor un publications related to management of impact on biodiversity from infrastructure development.
