Gestió d’Infraestructures S.A. (GISA).

Analysis of data on accidents involving animals in the road network of Catalonia for the 2007-2011 period. Identification of sections of concentration of accidents with ungulates, and design of a plan of measures to improve road safety in the most conflictive sections. Evaluation of the effectiveness of measures applied in concentration sections identified in a previous study undertaken in 2007.

Conclusions presented in the communication ‘Animal-Vehicle Collisions: A New Cooperative Strategy Is Needed to Reduce the Conflict’ at the American ICOET Conference (International Conference on Ecology & Transportation) that took place in June 2013 in Arizona, United States.
