Study of connectivity and territorial permeabilization of the PEIN Punta la Móra – Tarragona

Infraestructuras.Cat (UTE Minuartia – IGRemap)
2016

The study defines actions to improve the ecological connectivity of the area of natural interest Punta de la Móra, which has a small surface area and is surrounded by roads and other transport infrastructures. It is in a territory that is used extensively by the public and has remarkable cultural and historical values from Roman times.

The analysis evaluates the barrier effect of the railway and several roads on the periphery of the space and proposes actions to permeabilize these infrastructures, to facilitate the passage of fauna, and to promote the continuity of habitats. Landscaping restoration activities, improvement of hiking routes, and other elements to improve the public use of space are also foreseen.
