This project studied amphibians in the protected natural area that are found in ponds and other stagnant water, including three salamanders and seven frogs. From field work and various sources, the distribution of each species was determined and the relationship between the presence of amphibians and the main habitat variables was characterized. Monitoring indicators for amphibians and habitats were established. Finally, a proposal was made for long-term monitoring of important water points for amphibians.
At the same time, the habitat inventory was updated through the inspection of 34 water bodies. Identified and foreseeable impacts on the water bodies were reported and the habitat’s conservation status was updated. Management proposals were made to reverse the impacts and improve the habitat.
