This guide provides information on measures of proven effectiveness to prevent and reduce conflicts and damage caused by wild mammals to crops and to reforestation and ecological restoration projects in transport infrastructure and urban environments. The document has been published by Barcelona Provincial Council’s publication service and will be updated periodically and expanded with new files.
The information is organised into factsheets that provide detailed technical instructions on how to apply each measure and in which situations its application is recommended, as well as relevant regulations.
The Guide was drawn up with the expertise of the Minuartia team, which has had decades of experience in the design, application and monitoring of measures to prevent wildlife conflicts. It was complemented by a review of bibliographic information and the results of effectiveness tests.
