A follow-up study was carried out of passages for herpetofauna, built to cut amphibian and reptile collisions with vehicles, and to reduce the barrier effect of the road for the dispersal of small vertebrates in this section located between two areas of the Bases de l’Albera, which is included in the Plan of Areas of Natural Interest (PEIN). The study consisted of inspecting and characterising the built structures, installing phototrapping cameras to identify species that use the passages, and carrying out road inspections to detect the remains of run over individuals.
